Question by curious: How to shut a coach up when refereeing…?
There are somes coaches (usually soccer moms) who love to take out there fustration on the refs. When soccer moms turn into vicious creatures, what can I say that will put them in there place (it can be humerous). The line “Hey, I am the ref. I ref the game. You coach your players.” is too common. I am searching for something humerous but would make them shut up, but so the coaches and players and family member wont think I’m a total meany.
Also, when a coach/parent is extremely mad at me what would I do? I know in referee school they said just “send them off” but what does that mean? Do I just tell them to leave the field? Where would they go? Thanks.
I thought red cards were only for players…So do I record that the coach got a red card on the game card thingy? Do I just show it to him to just scare him or what?
